Superior North Canoe Outfitters hires 7 full time employees for the summer. We are
located 57 miles NW of Grand Marais, MN. It is a VERY REMOTE area near the Boundary Waters
Canoe Area. Openings are for any time frame from May 10th through Sept. 15th. We provide
you with room/board/laundry facilities and other benefits (such as free usage of canoes

Job Description and Summary:
Packer: Someone to pack
fresh and freeze dried foods according to a specific menu, pack outfitting equipment and
supplies, check in equipment and cleaning of outfitting equipment.
Driver and General: Someone to drive a 25 hp outboard motor to take
customers to and from different entry points on lake, drive a vehicle to different land
entry points, load and unload canoes to or from a tow boat, van or pickup, ability to lift
canoes and equipment, cleaning of outfitting equipment, canoes, boats and other equipment,
ability to lift various size motors to put on boats, pump gas, disposing of garbage,
lawn upkeep and general help where needed. There is 3 openings for this positions and jobs
will be rotated between all.
Cleaning Position: Someone
to clean public showers, bathrooms and bunkhouses, cleaning of outfitting equipment,
checking in equipment and general help where needed.
Store Clerk: Someone to
handle cash register in small convenience store and gift shop, handling cash, checks,
credit and credit cards, stock shelves, keep store neat and clean and pricing of
merchandise. Cash register experience helpful.
Cook: Someone to prepare
and serve pancakes (breakfast only) and fry and serve burgers (evenings only) for guests
in a small (6 tables) coffee shop, prepare 3 meals a day for the staff and owners which
could be anything from cold cereal to pancakes or from soup to roast beef, clear tables,
wash dishes, clean grill and keep kitchen and coffee shop clean. Small grill experience
helpful.
